NAIROBI—As the UN continues to push for a plan of military intervention in war ravaged Syria, a new poll of Kenyans has found that though many countries remain skeptical over the need of becoming involved in another Middle Eastern war, the vast majority of Kenyan citizens approve of sending the Members of Parliament as fighters to Syria.
The Friday poll clarified that although Kenyans feel the country has no business in fighting the burgeoning ISIS Syria war, 99% of the public says sending all the 349 members of parliament-Including the speaker, majority leader and women reps, on the deadly war zone in Syria is the best advised move at this course in time.
“I know the deployment of all Kenyan MPs to Syria immediately is in the best interest of Kenya and the world, “Respondent Michael Mutai, 31 said in the online survey. His thoughts were similar to estimated 4/5 of other respondents.
Asked if she was aware of the UN Intel that the Assad regime is likely to use chemical weapons on the fighters, one respondent Mercy from Karen said, “With the violence getting deadlier everyday now is the perfect moment to send our legistlators to Syria.”
Her comment was shocking, the pollsters imagined. Then in a rejoinder 95% of the respondents agreed that the active use Nerve gas or VX by the Assad regime would only increase the respondent’s urgency of sending the MPs to Syria.
“The war is not going to last forever “Respondent Ojiek from Kawangware said and empasised “Now is the right time”
The Syrian government uses bomb attacks, kidnapping, executions and torture as a way of suppressing rebellion.
Post poll Public opinion analysts believe the recent move by the MPS to increase their allowances including mid night allowances may have indirectly influenced the poll results.
