What is one great advise that you ignored?
Here is the best advice I have ever received that I never followed. .
It was sometimes 8 or 9 years ago. I was in my single room-the first rental after college, sited on a plastic chair, messing up videos on the PC Computer. A desktop Computer I had bought or rather assembled from Bestell, Kimathi house in my first year of school.
Sited on the bed looking silently at what I was doing was a tall man with a deep voice. A visiting friend-a DJ with shoulder tall rastas then doing his art in South Africa And how he had gotten to SA by bus is a curious story for another day.
Anyway after a while in his deep voice tingled with Jamaican accent he told me -rather seriously, a surprising thing.
“Lino(my name then )if I knew how to do what you’re doing I would never leave that computer “.
I never took that advice and I only thought about it recently. And here is why it’s the greatest advise given that I never followed.
See I was just messing around with a computer(editing/creating videos)with no awareness if what I was doing was special or a real skill that could mean a lot if taken seriously..
So here is my advice that I wish you don’t ignore as I did.
Take what you do seriously. Take your skills seriously. Right now you may have something that if used or applied right can transform your life and lives of many others in a way you cannot imagine or foresee now.
Have a great week ahead.
